Economic Sector – Power Generation
Wendy Cudmore (Ontario Power Generation) graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 with an Honours BA in Environment and Resources Management. She also completed the Environmental Management and Assessment post graduate program at Niagara College. Shortly after graduating, she accepted a job in her hometown of Porcupine with the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). In 2004, the Ministry of the Environments (MOE) Safe Drinking Water Branch hired her on as a Drinking Water Inspector and within a year moved to the Abatement Branch as a Senior Environmental Officer where she worked for 3 years. Since 2010, Wendy has been working with Ontario Power Generation as the Northeast Plant Group’s Senior Environmental Advisor and Project Leader. She is looking forward to using her environmental background to support and protect our northern resources by contributing to her community as part of the Source Water Protection Committee.
In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time outdoors, travelling (or the thought of it !), practicing and instructing Yoga, and taking advantage of the beauty Northern Ontario has to offer.
