About the Water Festival
The Timmins Children’s Water Festival will take place on May 26-27, 2020. The festival will take place at the Mountjoy Arena.
The festival is open to students in grades 4-6 in Timmins for free.
Transportation arrangements and expenses are covered by the sponsors. Students are picked up at their school in the morning and returned in time for dismissal.
At the festival, students learn about the importance of water with curriculum based activity centres. Each activity centre includes a hands-on demonstration or interactive game to help the students learn important messaging about water and the environment. Groups of students rotate through the activity centres, visiting approximately 10-12 activities throughout the day.
Registration is required for this event. Space is limited. Registration will open in March 2020. All registrations will be booked on a first-come-first served basis.
Information regarding registration, busing and more is available on the Teacher Information Page.
