Background Documents

The Source Protection Plan Background Documents look at the nature of the drinking water threat and describe the local occurrence (“is” and “would be”) of that threat. The documents also assess existing policies/programs and introduce related ‘policy concepts’ for source protection planning. The documents provide the background information to assess options for policy development for the circumstances related to these threats. Throughout these documents, suggestions as to possible policy directions are put forward for discussion and consideration by the Source Protection Committee. These policy options were used as a starting point for discussion.
